This book felt forced. The plot was incongruent with the (supposed) chemistry. The author wanted it to be hot, but it kinda felt like the spoiling of a child by a perv.I guess, the reason I like time-travel (where the heroine is contemporary and the hero is historical) is because as a reader, I don't expect her to be a maidenly mess upon seeing his forearm. It's one of the reasons why historical romances need so much of a build up- people back then were way, way too repressed to be able to enjoy pre-marital affairs without huge hang ups. Although, I'm sure there were some free-thinkers; they had to keep in under wraps. Moreover, women were even more repressed and sheltered. I understand Old Western women were a hella stronger than the missishness of Eastern/Regency/Victorian women; but sex was so taboo that it was a perversion in of itself.
Believe me, I grew up in a fundamental Christian home. I KNOW hangups. I KNOW that mind set. I WAS that mind set.
So, dear author, I wish you would write some more time-travel novels. I really connect with those.

I read the a copy of this book and I must say it was wonderful, however, there was one sex scene that did not need to take place and was a little too much but it was a very good book with the romance, outlaws, the good, the bad and the ugly. This is a must read book.
I read this book in one day (this is what I do when I can't stop reading a great story). This is my favorite kind of romance = historical western with some spice. This book was just the perfect mix of interesting story, lively characters, suspenseful plot, and sizzle. I'm looking forward to more books from this author.
